Descartes’ Routing, Mobile and Telematics (RMT) solutions help customers gain full visibility, automation, and control across their transportation operations. As a global leader in logistics technology, we are focused on delivering measurable operational and financial value to our customers.
We are looking for a Junior Fleet & Route Management Analyst who combines analytical thinking, technical aptitude, and commercial awareness to support sales engagements and Customer projects. This role is designed for someone eager to grow into a subject matter expert within a fast-growing, innovative team.
Outcomes — What Success Looks Like
- Support Sales and Solution teams by preparing accurate and high-quality responses to customer requests, proposals and presentations that contribute to new business opportunities.
- Deliver data-driven operational insights through ROI analyses, customer data evaluations, and scenario modelling to demonstrate measurable business value.
- In collaboration with a Senior Consultant, configure and prepare compelling product demonstrations across Routing, Mobile, Telematics, and Transportation Management solutions that align with customer requirements.
- Transform and validate customer data from multiple formats (Excel, XML, JSON, etc.) into structured formats suitable for integrations, reporting, and solution testing.
- Develop expertise in Descartes RMT solutions, industry trends, and logistics workflows to become a trusted internal and external resource over time.
Skills & Competencies — How the Work Gets Done
Technical & Functional Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in sales engineering, customer support, testing, software development, pre-sales or similar technical.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret operational and business data.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, transformation, cleansing, and preparation for integrations or reporting.
- Ability to configure software demonstrations and understand technical solution workflows.
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience or exposure to logistics, transportation, SaaS, or supply chain technology is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
