Junior Treasury Analyst
Location: Waterloo, Ontario (Hybrid: 1–2 days/week in-office to start, with increasing flexibility over time)
Salary Range: CAD $50,000 – $60,000 - Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. What You'll Do:
You'll support the Senior Treasury Manager and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure efficient daily operations and accurate financial reporting:
• Bank Reconciliations: Maintain daily/weekly reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare cash management reports for weekly funding and cash flow analysis.
• Support Internal Teams: Generate weekly reports for internal teams and work closely with these teams to ensure accurate recordings of banking transactions.
• Transaction Investigations: Identify, troubleshoot, and investigate reconciliation discrepancies or unknown transactions.
• Journal Entries: Record bank journal entries and intercompany transfers.
• Financial Closing: Ensure accurate and timely month-end/quarter-end closings of bank G/Ls.
• Payment Runs: Support weekly payment runs including validation of bank files and funding checks.
• Banking Projects: Liaise with banking partners to facilitate completion of bank documentation for account openings and other projects.
• Audit & Compliance: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support strong controls.
• Process Improvements: Contribute to ongoing treasury initiatives for improving finance processes.
• Treasury Projects: Assist in treasury related projects as required.

Your background may include:
• A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Some experience in a Treasury Analyst position or comparable analytical role with a focus on reconciliation, analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (intermediate) and strong familiarity with Word and Outlook.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
