Role – Integration Management - M&A

 

The successful candidate will lead the integration management office, playing a key role in the execution of Descartes’ global M&A strategy.  Responsibilities include: 

  • Key member of operational due diligence team driving organizational design activities for acquisition integration 

  • Establish key milestones and prepare integration plans with workstream leaders pre-closing to hit the ground running on Day 1 

  • Lead integration management activities and coordinate cross-functional teams  

  • Identify potential risks to integration plans and financials plans, and work with workstream leaders and the executive team to prepare and implement corrective actions 

  • Monitor and report on post-deal financial performance, including synergy realization and key milestone achievements 

 

Required Qualifications and Key Attributes 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of M&A integration (either with a consulting firm or part of a corporate development team) and/or change management projects.  

  • Bachelor’s degree required  

  • Ideally 10 years of related experience, with operational experience in the software industry a key asset 

  • Strong project management experience working with global, cross-functional teams 

  • Ability to create and effectively communicate integration plans  

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage up and down within the organization 

  • Proven commercial acumen with the ability to assess and analyze key business drivers 

  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a changing and time-sensitive environment 

  • Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment  

  • Comfortable working across multiple time-zones depending on project activity 

 

Location & Travel Requirements: This is a remote opportunity, open to applicants authorized to work in Canada. The ideal candidates should be prepared to travel occasionally – both within North America and globally. #LI-Remote
