Mission — Why the Job Exists

As Descartes accelerates growth in Transportation Management, this role exists to build a scalable inbound engine that increases visibility, attracts high-intent buyers, and converts digital engagement into measurable pipeline. You will elevate Descartes’ digital presence and thought leadership by turning search, content, and website performance into a competitive advantage.

Outcomes 

  1. Increase organic traffic and qualified conversions across Transportation Management web properties by 20–30% within 18–24 months.
  2. Improve search rankings for priority keywords, achieving top 3 positions for high-value terms across core solution pages within 12–18 months.
  3. Maintain and continuously optimize all website content to meet performance benchmarks (engagement rates, bounce rates, conversion rates).
  4. Deliver consistent, high-quality SEO-optimized content (web, blog, landing pages) that supports campaign goals and product positioning.
  5. Build and maintain reporting dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights on SEO, traffic, and conversion performance.
  6. Strengthen cross-functional alignment with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Sales to ensure digital efforts directly support pipeline growth.
  7. Establish Descartes as a thought leader through content that reflects industry trends, competitive differentiation, and customer value.

Skills & Competencies

Advanced expertise in SEO strategy, keyword research, technical SEO, and on-page optimization (tools such as BrightEdge, SEMrush, GA4, Search Console).

  • Strong experience managing CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal) and optimizing web performance.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and search-optimized B2B SaaS content.
  • Data-driven decision-making: ability to interpret analytics and translate insights into measurable improvements.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, product, and sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS or supply chain technology markets is highly preferred.

Location: This is a remote role, open to individuals who are legally entitled to work in Canada . We are a global organization using English as a primary language, job descriptions and communication available in the local languages where required. #LI-Remote. 

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 CAD annually. Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
