IT Business Analyst – AI Enablement & Microsoft Ecosystem
The IT Business Analyst – AI Enablement & Microsoft Ecosystem plays a critical role in helping the organization unlock measurable business value from AI and Microsoft technologies. This role bridges business teams, IT, and enterprise AI initiatives to ensure employees can effectively adopt and scale modern productivity, automation, and collaboration capabilities across the Microsoft ecosystem in a secure, compliant, and business-aligned way.
Outcomes — What Success Looks Like
1. Identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI and Microsoft-enabled use cases that improve productivity, operational efficiency, and decision-making across business functions.
2. Increase adoption and effective usage of Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, Teams, SharePoint, and related technologies through structured enablement, training, and stakeholder engagement.
3. Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and measurable value hypotheses aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
4. Partner with architecture, security, compliance, and data teams to ensure AI and Microsoft solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.
5. Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and solution reviews that accelerate automation and AI opportunities while improving stakeholder alignment and execution speed.
6. Establish and track adoption KPIs, success metrics, and benefits realization measures for AI and Microsoft platform initiatives.
7. Contribute to governance frameworks, implementation standards, best practices, and internal playbooks that support sustainable AI and Microsoft platform growth across the organization.
Skills & Competencies
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Strong experience working with Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure, Purview, Entra ID, Copilot, and integrated third-party solutions.
- Proven ability to analyze business processes and translate requirements into actionable functional specifications, workflows, and user stories.
- Experience supporting AI, automation, analytics, digital transformation, or data-driven initiatives in enterprise environments.
- Understanding of SaaS platforms, AI governance, security, compliance, and enterprise technology standards.
- Strong analytical thinking, documentation, process mapping, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional collaboration sessions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, or similar role within a global enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting large-scale or multi-business-unit technology initiatives.
- Familiarity with change management, technology adoption, and business enablement practices.
- Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Microsoft Cloud/AI certifications are considered an asset.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 CAD annually -Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
