Mission — Why the Role Exists
We are expanding our Talent team and hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist based in India to support hiring across India, the Philippines, and EMEA, with occasional sourcing support for North America. Reporting to the Director, Global Talent Acquisition, you will partner with HR and business leaders to attract and hire high-quality talent across both technical and non-technical functions. In this role, you will play a key part in building scalable, high-performing teams in competitive markets. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, accountable, and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage end-to-end recruitment processes, handle competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines. The role requires working in the office once a week and accommodating global recruiting needs by working later shifts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

What’s in it for you?
Be part of a winning and growing company that offers real opportunity for those ambitious enough to lead change and support growth. You will work with an energetic, collaborative, and globally distributed team that is innovative, supportive, and committed to success. Descartes is a global organization of 1,600+ employees across 26 countries, growing both organically and through acquisition. In this role, you will directly contribute to that growth by attracting top talent and helping integrate new teams into the organization. You will benefit from mentorship, on-the-job learning, and the opportunity to influence and evolve talent acquisition practices within a high-growth global business.

Outcomes — What Success Looks Like

  1. Consistently fill 3–5 roles per month across technical (R&D, Product & Support) and non-technical functions (e.g., Marketing, Sales & Administration), with a primary focus on India, the Philippines, and EMEA.
  2. Operate as a talent advisor, not just a recruiter bringing market insight, challenging assumptions, and elevating hiring decisions
  3. Deliver a seamless, structured interview process that improves hiring manager satisfaction and candidate experience.
  4. Drive adoption of employee referral and internal mobility programs to increase quality hires from these channels.
  5. Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and HR Business Partners, enabling clear role alignment and faster decision-making.
  6. Enhance the end-to-end candidate experience, improving offer acceptance rates and strengthening employer brand perception.
  7. Act as a credible brand ambassador in the market, representing Descartes’ opportunities and values with consistency and professionalism.
