The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans focused on high-quality lead generation and brand awareness initiatives. These initiatives will support Descartes organizational and revenue generation objectives related to their Transportation Management Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Strategize, build, and execute marketing and communication campaigns for content, advertising and event promotions focused on quality lead generation and brand awareness.
- Develop creative messaging that aligns with digital marketing programs and solution value proposition(s) to generate interest and demand.
- Manage the development, design and execution of sales enablement collateral including email marketing, presentations, websites, social media, web seminars, events, and other deliverables required for demand-generation initiatives.
- Work closely with the Product Management and Sales teams to gather competitive and customer research to support the marketing plans for new and existing solutions.
- Understand marketing data management, reporting, and segmentation. Identify target markets, research business intelligence, and build contact lists for marketing/sales campaigns via internal and external data sources.
- Assess, measure and report on marketing campaigns to gauge success and define best practices.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across marketing channels.
- Plan and track campaign spending to ensure on-budget deliverables.
- Develop and maintain a current understanding of industry trends, business challenges, topical issues through research and industry engagement.
- Work with external media channels to promote campaigns.
- Support annual user conference as an active Marketing execution team member
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, business, communications or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of five years of experience managing a B2B or SaaS marketing program with success in positioning and promoting enterprise software solutions and services across varying markets.
- Demonstrates in-depth solution and industry knowledge and can apply broad-based understanding of key business fundamentals and marketing tactics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to present ideas in such a manner that others easily understand.
- Deep understanding of the software industry (preferably transportation, supply chain and/or enterprise solutions)
- Comfortable with the entrepreneurial culture of a fast-growing organization in an ever-changing industry.
- Proactive, strong attention to detail and good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Creative, energetic, enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal teams.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and campaign management tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, ClickDimensions, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Monday.com.
- Graphic and/or web design experience a plus.

Salary Range: $85,000 to $95,000 USD “Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.”
