Senior .NET software developer 
Location: Šenčur, Slovenia 
 

Position Summary 
We are strengthening our R&D team in Šenčur, Slovenia, and we are seeking for a .Net Software Engineer to help us deliver impactful solutions for our customers. You’ll join the team of 16 engineers working on Descartes ShipRush - innovative multi-carrier shipping software.  
Our technology stack is primarily ASP.NET with JavaScript and C# on the backend. We use Redis for caching, MSSQL and Elasticsearch for data persistence, and we are currently modernizing our UI/UX using React and .NET. Our entire solution is deployed on Azure. 
We usually deploy code to production every two weeks, but our continuous deployment pipeline and strong testdriven development practices also allow us to ship multiple times per day when needed.

What You’ll Do 
As part of our agile development team, you will: 
•    Design, implement, ship features that improve the Descartes ShipRush software.   
•    Debug and resolve technical issues across the stack. 
•    Collaborate with engineers across time zones to deliver high-quality solutions 
•    Participate in code reviews and help maintain a strong culture of testing and continuous improvement 
•    Work with colleagues to define, design, code, release and test.   
•    Provide technical ownership for some application areas.   
•    Understand customer problems and how to solve them effectively.   
•    Create, revise, and maintain design/technical documents.   
•    Design, implement, and ship features that improve our SaaS platform for ecommerce sellers 
•    Debug and resolve technical issues across the stack  
•    Collaborate with engineers across time zones to deliver high-quality solutions 
•    Participate in code reviews and help maintain a strong culture of testing and continuous improvement 
•    Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction 
•    Communicate clearly and transparently with colleagues and customers 

 
What You Bring 
We are looking for someone who demonstrates curiosity, responsibility, strong work ethic, and teamwork. You should also have: 
•    5+ years MS-SQL, .NET (C#, REST API, ASP.NET) experience.   
•    Experience with React framework. 
•    Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools in a professional environment 
•    Experienced with all aspects of the software development life cycle.   
•    Experience in creating and consuming web services.   
•    Experience with security, encryption, and communication layers B2B.   
•    Experience in creating multi-tenant Software as a Service.
