We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer with strong skills in both C# and Visual Basic (VB) to join our team in developing and maintaining solutions for our internal and external clients. The primary focus of this role is to connect our systems with various carrier APIs—using technologies such as SOAP, REST, and standard HTTP requests. You will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain software solutions using .NET technologies (C#, VB).
  • Integrate our applications with external carrier APIs using SOAP, REST, and standard HTTP protocols.
  • Analyze and interpret carrier API documentation and implement reliable connections accordingly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues with external APIs.
  • Collaborate effectively within a remote development team, as well as with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on integration processes and technical changes.
  • Ensure attention to detail and deliver software that meets functional and technical requirements.
  • Proactively address integration or technical gaps and propose solutions.
  • Stay current with new carrier APIs, technology updates, and integration best practices.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and technical quality.
  • Work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software development with C# and VB using the .NET framework.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating with external APIs via SOAP, REST, and direct HTTP requests (WebClient, HttpClient, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze and work with varied carrier/API documentation and data formats (JSON, XML, etc.).
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, IIS, MS SQL Server, and Visual Studio.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and secure software practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $130,000 UY “Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Location: This is a hybrid position and will require the employee to come to our office in Montevideo 2 days per week.We are a global organization using English as a primary language, job descriptions and communication available in the local languages where required. #LI-Hybrid
