Descartes Datamyne is growing and looking to add a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to our team. With demonstrable software development experience, specifically with Java related technologies. A solid practical understanding of Web based software development, and strong troubleshooting skills gained via hands on experience is important for this position. The successful candidate will work with other developers, analysts, and product managers to ensure project delivery in a timely and high-quality manner, as well as provide internal support for other developers.

Responsibilities:

• Further development of our logistics software "Datamyne" for our international customers
• Analysis and specification of customer requirements
• Evaluation and development of solutions and their implementation
• Responsibility in the development process and quality assurance during development
• Documentation and communication in English
• Communication on configuration tasks with our global customer base

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related equivalent work experience. (Required)
• 5+ years development with Java. 
• Experience with Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Maven 
• Experience with Java/JEE,  JSON, XML, REST, Distributed System, RDBMS, MVC frameworks, Design Patterns, JavaScript, Angular, JSON, TypeScript
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, Data Structure, and Algorithm
• Experience within both a Windows and a Linux environment.
• Experience with front-end web development frameworks, such as AngularJS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Great analytical and problem-solving skills, continuous integration, and delivery systems
• Ability to collaborate efficiently in a team environment to achieve project goals
   

Salary Range: $200.000 to $240.000 UY “Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Location: This is a hybrid position and will require the employee to come to our office in Montevideo 2 days per week.  We are a global organization using English as a primary language, job descriptions and communication available in the local languages where required. #LI-Hybrid.
