The Opportunity

We are looking for a tenacious and eager marketing coordinator to support marketing execution in our transportation management and B2B & EDI Messaging business.  Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this marketing role is crucial to the continued success and growth of our market-leading suite of Transportation Management and B2B & EDI Messaging solutions used by thousands of companies, representing one of the most exciting and fastest-growing areas of our business. 

 

What you will focus on:

  • You will help with the set-up and rollout of marketing campaigns for the solution area. You will play an important role in executing the overall go-to-market plan for EMENAR: content/writing, campaign management, reporting, trade events, customer/prospect events, and joint partner marketing. You will set, measure, meet, and adjust KPIs to ensure the success of lead generation, conversion, attraction, and engagement.
  • Powerful content. You will develop, design, and localize long- and short-form collateral, including FAQs, infographics, blog posts, email campaigns, web copy, newsletters, articles, white papers, and other content that nurtures current and future client relationships. The content creation also includes sales enablement collateral such as email marketing, sales presentations, brochures/one-pagers, landing pages, social media, web seminars, events, and other deliverables required for demand-generation initiatives.
  • Develop creative messaging that aligns with digital marketing programs and solution value proposition(s) to generate interest and demand.
  • Build and execute marketing campaigns, advertising, and event promotions focused on quality lead generation, positioning Descartes as a thought leader, and continuing to build a strong brand. 

  

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a technical discipline with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in business-to-business marketing with demonstrable success in positioning and promoting enterprise software solutions and services across a variety of vertical markets. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of French and/or German, or any other European language is a plus.
  • Ability to present ideas in such a manner that others understand and enables them to share ideas for the benefit of others. 
  • Deep understanding of the software industry (preferably supply chain and/or enterprise planning solutions) along with verticals including manufacturing, retail, wholesale distribution, and transportation.
  • Comfortable with the entrepreneurial culture of a fast-growing organization in an ever-changing industry. 
  • Proactive, strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. 
  • Creative, energetic, enthusiastic with a positive attitude. 
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively, knowledgeably, and collaboratively with a wide range of internal teams. 
  • Graphic and web design experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
