As part of the Global Sales Operations team, this person is responsible for sales-related data management, and associated processes and systems.  Additionally, this resource will liaise and collaborate with various other departmental resources (sales, marketing, finance, etc.) to support data quality and accuracy as well as process adherence.  This role is integral to supporting the sales process and operational improvement initiatives related to customer/sales lifecycle management and data management projects. Flexibility to support various time zones may be required. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, enforcing, documenting, updating, and sharing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Supporting Descartes’ sales teams to improve administrative efficiency and process adherence while being attuned to positively impacting prospecting efforts and deal velocity.
  • Sales Training/Education, with respect to internal processes/policies and sales-related applications in use (both current and forthcoming)
  • Record (Account, Contact, Opportunity) auditing 
  • Data quality alignment across integrated applications
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: develop and manage to quickly identify gaps in data quality/processes and resolve them.
  • Helping sellers maximize benefits with our current tech stack.

 

Qualifications and Key Attributes:

  • Post-secondary education, a background in business/sales/finance/administration is an asset.
  • Working experience/knowledge of Microsoft CRM Dynamics (or intimate knowledge of another CRM platform e.g., Salesforce)
  • Must be capable of working with and analyzing data in aggregate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Must be proactive, extremely detail-oriented, and highly organized. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; a critical thinker
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with the culture of a fast-evolving organization in an ever-changing industry 
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude 
  • Ability to work effectively, knowledgeably, and collaboratively with a wide range of internal company functions.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with enterprise applications related to marketing, sales, and/or business development.
  • Fluent in English
