In your function as Senior Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and configuration of our Descartes product suite for Customs, Transportation Management, and Routing solutions. You will work as part of international project teams and be part of the EMEA Professional Services organisation of Descartes.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyse the process of our clients to determine the optimal fit for our solutions.

Define solution scope, design and configure the Descartes solutions based on customer requirements and the Descartes’ product suite.

Define, document, run, and support User Acceptance tests, based on previously set solution design.

Support our sales and pre-sales teams in setting customer specific demonstrations to demonstrate the value that the Descartes products deliver.

Support our product management teams in setting new product requirements and ensure that customer-specific product enhancements are on the product enhancement roadmap.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years of relevant education from college/university or 5 years of relevant experience.

Excellent communication and consultancy skills both verbal and in writing in English and Swedish.

Strong knowledge of SQL querying, at least 3 years.

Knowledge of file formats such as Flat files, XML, ASCII, EDIFACT, and Web services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of Logistics and Transportation Industry and Customs.

Experience in documentation and presenting progress reports to customers.

Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Preference will be given to candidates who have relevant operational experience.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with international logistic operations and in-depth knowledge of customs processes and legislation.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
This position may require occasional travel. Mainly Europe.
LOCATION
This role will be based in Malmö – Sweden but flexible.
