Customer Support Engineer

Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 USD annually-Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Customer Support Specialist to join our Customer Support team. This replacement role ensures continuity and a high level of service for our growing customer base. You’ll help customers resolve technical issues, maximize their use of Descartes platforms, and ensure they feel supported every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
• Respond to customer requests via phone and email.
• Monitor system performance, deliver training, and support quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot application issues across Descartes logistics platforms.
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and solutions.
• Create and update support and diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex challenges.
What You Bring

Required:
• Degree or diploma in computer science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office.
Preferred:
• Customs Brokerage certification.
• Experience with FTZ operations and tools like ABI, AMS, Descartes OneView, NetCHB, or QuestaWeb.
• Knowledge of EDI or integration technologies.
• Familiarity with wireless communications.
