Descartes Systems (USA) LLC, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, seeks an AI Solutions Architect responsible for leading the design and deployment of scalable artificial intelligence (AI) systems across enterprise platforms. This role is central to advancing the company’s next-generation automation and intelligent data products. This position is fully remote. The employee may work from anywhere in the United States.

 

Specific duties include:

  • Designing and implementing enterprise AI architectures that integrate large language models (LLMs), vector databases, and prompt engineering techniques
  • Leading the development of conversational and voice-based AI applications using platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and VAPI
  • Building and managing AI/ML pipelines on Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks, ensuring robust data flows and scalable deployments
  • Developing reusable frameworks and solution templates for AI-driven decision support systems and customer-facing applications
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including product managers, data engineers and supply chain domain experts—to translate business requirements into intelligent systems
  • Defining success metrics for AI solutions and implementing evaluation pipelines for model performance, quality, and reliability
  • Designing and optimizing data pipelines for efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval;
  • Applying the best practices in data security, governance, and responsible AI, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and corporate policies; and staying informed of trends in generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning to continually evolve product and platform strategy.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or Information Management.
  • Must have five years of experience with advanced SQL for data extraction, transformation, and orchestration.
  • Must have four years of experience with:
  • Python for automation and orchestration
  • Designing and optimizing data pipelines for efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval Developing and deploying dashboards and analytics solutions using Power BI and Tableau.
  • Must have three years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric).
  • Must have experience, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies (Azure AI foundry, and/or Co-pilot Studio).
  • Designing solutions incorporating large language models (LLMs) and vector databases using Azure Search, and prompt engineering into data products or analytics solutions; and collaborating with engineering, product, and data science teams to implement enterprise-grade data or AI solutions.
